I simply love Yorkshire and its magnificent scenery. Every season Yorkshire has something magical to offer. There's nothing better than getting my hiking boots on and disappearing into Yorkshire's superb countryside! I take my camera everywhere with me to ensure others can appreciate the many beautiful things that I see on my breathtaking walks. My photography has been featured on ITV Calendar, BBC Look North and has been published in The Yorkshire Ridings Magazine, The Yorkshire Dalesman, Country Walking Magazine and Countryfile magazine. Some of my images have been transformed into beautiful paintings by Yorkshire artists. At the end of 2013 I was selected to be the Face of Ordnance Survey. Gary Verity - The man behind The Tour de France coming to Yorkshire!

This is a man who everyone in Yorkshire should be extremely proud of.....

 Gary Verity, Chief Executive of 'Welcome To Yorkshire'.

Gary Verity has not only managed to bring the Tour de France to our wonderful county of Yorkshire in 2014 but has boosted our county's tourism industry enormously since he became the Chief Executive of Welcome To Yorkshire.

 It became apparent immediately upon meeting Gary that he is an extremely passionate Yorkshireman. His knowledge about our county and its people is phenomenal! He is passionate about maintaining our cultural heritage and promoting the beautiful National Parks within Yorkshire.

 Due to Gary being a dynamic, strong-minded and motivational leader he has the ability to set goals and achieve them to a high standard. He is, without a doubt, a man who rises to the challenge!

 I am honoured to know him and I'm sure the rest of our extremely proud county will be very grateful for all he has done for us. May his determination to make our county the best tourist destination in the world continue!
