I simply love Yorkshire and its magnificent scenery. Every season Yorkshire has something magical to offer. There's nothing better than getting my hiking boots on and disappearing into Yorkshire's superb countryside! I take my camera everywhere with me to ensure others can appreciate the many beautiful things that I see on my breathtaking walks. My photography has been featured on ITV Calendar, BBC Look North and has been published in The Yorkshire Ridings Magazine, The Yorkshire Dalesman, Country Walking Magazine and Countryfile magazine. Some of my images have been transformed into beautiful paintings by Yorkshire artists. At the end of 2013 I was selected to be the Face of Ordnance Survey. Brewers Pride, Healey, Ossett

Previously known as the Millers Arms Inn, Brewers Pride is an independent real ale pub located on Low Mill Road in Ossett. 


Brewers Pride has an excellent reputation for providing a superb collection of cask ales. Currently there are nine hand pulled cask ales including Bob's White Lion and Rudgate Ruby Mild. 

Oakham Brewery also provide a selection of fine cask ales and there are six rotating guest beers. In addition to these lovely ales there are six continental beers on draught including a strawberry beer for customers who want to try something a little different!


Addlestones premium cloudy cider and a good selection of wines are also available at the bar.

There are many themed nights at Brewers Pride:

 Pie and quiz night is on a Monday from 5.30pm - 8.30pm. 
Tapas night is on a Tuesday from 5.30pm - 8.30pm.
Sunday lunch (traditional roast dinner) is available from 12pm - 6pm 

Brewers Pride is an excellent watering hole for those passing nearby along the footpaths of the Hebble and Calder Navigation and from the Horbury Bridge Basin. There are lots of mills in the area which form part of Healey's industrial heritage.

 If the above hasn't tempted you to visit, perhaps the beautiful Millers Restaurant above the pub will appeal...

This wonderful dining experience offers the finest dishes in the area.  Pan fried medallions of prime fillet steak with a horseradish potato cake topped with wild mushrooms and a rich jerez and veal jus is just one of many mouthwatering dishes from the menu.

This beautifully decorated restaurant is open Thursday to Saturday from 6pm - 9pm and Sundays 12pm - 6pm. (An early bird menu is available from 6pm - 7pm).

The dining area has two sections, one of which can be used for private functions. 

Whatever your reason to visit Brewers Pride, there is something for everyone and this lovely pub and restaurant should certainly not be over-looked!

Brewers Pride is holding it's 15th annual Brewers Pride Beer Festival - Friday 23rd Aug - Monday 26th Aug.
80 cellar cooled cask ales, draught cider and a keg of draft beer will be available for the festival.
Live music from local bands and a hog roast will also feature!
